Tea-Drinkers Behaving Badly

Published by Lenneth at 3:42 pm under Tuesday Tea

An older but useful post for tea-drinkers:

Tea Party Girl warns us of The Top Seven Mistakes Tea-Drinkers Make.

Oops, I think I may be guilty of some of these, and probably all of them at some point in the past! I rather like cream or half-and-half in my tea, but maybe I should try milk again? But I like the way the cream sort of swirls at the top . . .

I just put some teas out in glass jars, exposed to light. I don’t want to put them away (they look pretty) so I’ll just see how long it takes me to drink the tea before I change that habit.

I like using half-and-half or heavy cream in black tea. I like the silkiness it adds. I would definitely like to investigate a filtering option for our water, there are too many minerals in it.

Proper storage is essential. Celestial Seasonings‘ tea packaging makes no sense to me at all!

I know! No foil to keep the herbs fresh at all. It’s insane. Fortunately I think herbal infusions aren’t as delicate as real tea. I hope anyway!

I like my heavy cream. :P Bah. [disagrees] The rest of it was good though! :D

Interesting feedback, y’all! If you buy expensive tea, though, try it with just the milk for a more subtle addition that won’t dominate the tea’s nuances. But whatever rocks your boat!

    Thanks for the link.

Thanks for your thoughts, Tea Party Girl. :) I think the tea I drink is moderately priced. Not totally el-cheapo but somewhere in the middle. I used to use heavy cream all the time but after reading your post I tried milk for a bit, then I switched to half-and-half which seems to be a happy medium. I might try milk again after awhile, because after switching I did agree that the heavy cream got in the way of the tea’s flavour. Maybe I need time to adjust. :)
